Our Immunization Philosophy

The physicians at Pediatric Associates feel that immunizations are an essential part of well-child care.  Proper immunizations protect the health of the individual child, and protect all of the children in the community as a whole.

We understand that many parents have concerns about immunizations, and may choose to not immunize their respective children.

However, we feel there is no strong scientific evidence to withhold immunizations from your child.  Because of our philosophy, and for the health of the community at large, we feel that a decision to not immunize your child is not compatible with a trusting physician/patient relationship in our group.

We are open to possible alternative schedules.  But, if you have elected to not immunize your child at all, or have begun immunizations and now have refused further immunizations, we must insist that you seek the care of another physician or physician group that shares those opinions.
